CNC Machining

CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Machining is a subtractive manufacturing process which cuts away the unwanted material to form the structure of the intended part. As a conventional manufacturing process, CNC machining delivers the benefits of high accuracy and repeatability, cheap and target materials, quality machined surface, large building size, cost-effective low volume production performance and fast turnaround.




At Honkia, our CNC machining tolerance is ± 0.1/100 mm. For the specific tighter tolerance demand noted, we can pay special attention to achieve it. For the uncharted tolerance demand, we use the tolerance standard DIN ISO 2768-f for the machined part. The materials we can CNC include: ABS, PC, PMMA, PP, POM, PA, PA+GF, Teflon, Carbon Fiber, Bakelite, Wood, Bamboo, Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Stainless steel, Titanium, etc.

One of the fast growing and wide applications of CNC machining today is rapid prototype manufacturing for its advantages of target and cheap materials, tight tolerance, large building size, accurate threading, and usually cheaper price than additive manufacturing technologies, thus CNC prototypes and parts provide more reliable and economical feedback on mechanism and strength verification. For the part of big volume and simple design, CNC costs not only much lower price but also probably less time than additive manufacturing ones.
